2008 Live Draft Champions...Hilltop Beer
Congratulations to Hilltop Beer with manager Joe Justka who won four games to win the 2008 Live Draft Tournament defeating Jason Erven's Community Blood Bank team in the opening game of the finals. Jake Lewis earned the tournament MVP.  Thank you to the players, fans, managers, sponsors, City and Erie Highlight Reel for the entire 2008 season.

2008 League Champions - Hilltop Beer
Congratulations to Hilltop Beer who captured the league championship knocking off Odis 12 / Steel City in two games on Friday Night.  Steve Patchko won the series MVP and Bob Osborn only gave up two runs from the hill to help Hilltop win the league in their first season.

Thursday, August 21st
Round Two - A Playoffs

Hilltop Beer won the best of three series against arch rival Three Chances / Fulton Club two games to one.  Hilltop won the opening game 3-1 and dropped the second game 5-1.  Hilltop prevailed in the rubber match with a 7-3 win clinching the series and advancing them to a best of three showdown for the league championship series on Friday against Odis 12 / Steel City.  "Player of the Series" goes to Jim "Doc" Gillespie of Hilltop Beer.

 

Tuesday, August 19th
Round Two - A Playoffs


Odis 12 / Steel City earned their bid for a 3rd straight league title beating Jerre's Service 7-0 in the opening game and 5-4 in game number two to sweep the series.  Matt Konieczki earned "Player of the Series winning both games for Odis 12 / Steel City.  They look to defend their title this Friday at 11th & Hess in the best of three series against the winner of Thursday's series between #2 seed Hilltop Beer and #3 seed Three Chances / Fulton Club.

 

Friday, August 15th
Single Elimination - B Playoffs

Scot Tees won the opening game over Scooters Lounge 9-4 to advance to the B Championship Game.  Justin Oosterkamp picked up the win for Scot Tees.  Six Pack House of Beer defeated Sherlocks / Park Place 4-2 in the second game to setup the B Championship Game.  Scot Tees prevailed and won the 2008 B Championship beating Six Pack House of Beer 17-7.  Todd Vincent earned the "Player of the Series" for Scot Tees.
 

Thursday, August 14th
Round One - A Playoffs

Jerre's Service moved on to the second round to face Odis 12 / Steel City after winning the series two games to one against J Bruno Construction.  J Bruno captured the opening game 5-1 but Jerre's Service struck back with an 8-0 shutout win followed by a 12-2 win that ended the game and the series after five innings.  Dave Konieczki earned the "Player of the Series" for Jerre's Service. Jerre's will battle Odis 12 / Steel City on Tuesday night in the best of three.
 

Tuesday, August 12th
Round One - A Playoffs

Three Chances / Fulton Club beat The Community Blood Bank 6-2 in game one and 4-3 in eight innings in game two to sweep the Blood Bank and move into the next round against Hilltop Beer.  Rob Potts was the "Player of the Series" going 5 for 7 for Three Chances / Fulton Club.

 
Tuesday, August 5th

The Community Blood Bank secured the final playoff spot in the league playoff series with a 5-4 win over Scot Tees at 11th & Hess.  Dave Deck got the win with the help Harold Klinzing's big triple putting the game away for the Blood Bank.  Justin Osterkamp pitched another great game and just fell short of completing the playoff run they started a couple weeks ago. Steve "Moose" Osterkamp started the charge with a triple and RBI for Scot Tees but they came up a run short for the playoffs.  The Blood Bank will open the playoffs against Three Chances / Fulton Club in the best of three series while Scot Tees will play in the B single elimination playoff.

 
Friday, August 1st

Scot Tees found a way to win beating Hilltop Beer 6-4 making it a must win for the Blood Bank at the other game at 18th & Downing for the final playoff spot.  Justin Oosterkamp pitched the victory and helped himself out with an RBI.  Jim Reichard also knocked in an RBI and had a double for Scot Tees.  Hilltop Beer finished the season at 15-5.  Hilltop Beer already had the number two seed and a first round bye locked up before the game was played.

The Community Blood Bank did what they needed beating Sherlocks / Park Place 10-4 setting up a one game playoff against Scot Tees on Tuesday, August 5th at 7:30pm at 12th & Hess.  Dave Deck got the win, strikeout and two hits while Kevin Farr had a triple for the Blood Bank.  Shawn Bean had an inside the park home run and Ben Okey had a double for Sherlocks / Park Place.  Sherlocks / Park Place secured the number eight seed in the single elimination B playoffs.

Six Pack House of Beer beat Scooters Lounge 18-8 on Dwaon Woodards triple and Andy Feliciano's pitching. Woodard had a huge game going five for five with two singles, doubles and the triple.  Mike Watkins earned a strikeout for Scooters.  Six Pack will play Sherlocks / Park Place while Scooters will play the loser of the Scot Tees / Blood Bank game.

Jerre's Service earned home team advantage over J Bruno Construction with a 2-0 win on Friday night.  Jerre's beat J Bruno all three times during the season and now take the home team advantage into the first round of the playoffs against J Bruno.  Rick Majewski keyed the win with a strikeout and only three hits given up in the game.  Jerre's is seed number four and J Bruno is seed number five.

Three Chances / Fulton Club beat Odis 12 / Steel City 6-4 in the final game of the regular season.  Tommy Lewis had an inside the park home run leading the charge for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Chip Charlton got his 13th win for the season. Three Chances / Fulton Club had the number three seed locked heading into the game while Odis 12 / Steel City finished as the regular season champions at 17-3 earning the number one seed and a first round bye in the playoffs.

 
Thursday, July 31st

Hilltop Beer secured the number two seed and a first round bye with a 13-3 victory over Sherlocks / Park Place in the opening game. Rick Moyer of Hilltop Beer was the spotlight of the night with the first home run over the fence since Justin Galla four seasons ago. Moyer cleared the right field fence and added a triple, single with four RBI's in the game. Steve Pachatko, Edwin Delgado, Shannon Lofton and Jason Justka had multiple hits for Hilltop.  Bob Osborn got his league leading 15th win.  Shondell Blue had two hits and one RBI for Sherlocks / Park Place.

Three Chances / Fulton Club beat Six Pack House of Beer 15-3 keeping their bid at a number three seed alive.  Rob Potts led the charge with five RBI's, two doubles and an inside the park home run.  Tony Culver added a triple and John Canavan also hit an inside the park home run.  Chip Charlton won the game. Jorge Pazo had a triple for Six Pack is the loss.  

 
Tuesday, July 29th

Scot Tees kept their playoff hopes alive with a 3-2 win over the Community Blood Bank in the opening game of the night.  Joe Skopow carried Scot Tees with a double and two RBI's.  Justin Osterkamp won the game and picked up another strikeout. Scot Tees and the Blood Bank both stand at 8-11 splitting the season series at one.  If both teams win or both teams lose they will play a one game playoff for the final playoff spot.  If one wins and the other loses the winner clinches the last seed in the playoff tournament. Scot Tees faces Hilltop Beer and the Blood Bank battles Sherlocks / Park Place.

Odis 12 / Steel City captured the season title with a 6-3 win over Jerre's Service.   Matt Konieczki won the game and got his league leading 26th strikeout of the season. Jeremy Cook rejoined the Odis 12 / Steel City lineup with an inside the park home run and two RBI's.  Jared Pearson had a triple for Jerre's in the loss.  Odis 12 / Steel City moved to 17-2 and Jerre's is tied for fourth at 12-7.

J Bruno Construction kept their bid for the number three seed alive with a 15-3 win against Scooters Lounge.  Bobby Gates stood out with a triple and four RBI's and Justin Galla went 3-3 with two singles and a double for J Bruno.  Dustin Przybylski won the game and Joe Cilladi finished the game with a strikeout on the mound. Chris Cook had a triple for Scooters Lounge.  

 
Friday, July 25th

Hilltop Beer won the big game of the night 3-1 over Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Shannon Lofton went three for three with game winning RBI along with five putouts and three assists.  Mike Quinones and Steve Pachatko had the two other RBI's for Hilltop.  Bob Osborn earned player of the week for last week and picked up win number fourteen.  Dave Snippert continued his hot hitting streak with a double and Tony Culver had the lone RBI for Three Chances / Fulton Club. Hilltop Beer moved to 14-4 and Three Chances / Fulton Club fell to 12-6.

Scot Tees pulled off the 4-1 upset win over J Bruno Construction. Justin Osterkamp got the win, strikeout and helped his own cause with an RBI.  Dave Torok, Shawn Potts and Ed Young all collected an RBI in the win.  Bobby Gates had the lone RBI for J Bruno. 

Scooters Lounge exploded on Sherlocks / Park Place with a 14-10 victory.  Anthony Gore was the leader with an inside the park home run.  Corey Folmar and Will Smith each scored twice for Scooters.  Paul Ebert and Matt Daubenspeck each tripled for Sherlocks / Park Place.

Odis 12 / Steel City defeated the Community Blood Bank 8-5 to make their magic number one to clinch the regular season title.  Mark Kennelly had an inside the park home run starting the rally for Odis 12 / Steel City.  Ricky Cruz and Dustin Beraducci both doubled and Doug Robinson earned the victory.  Al Thigpen tripled for the Blood Bank amking things interesting deep into the game. 

Kevin Buczynksi had the biggest accomplishment of the night with the first no hitter of the season helping Jerre's Service shutout Six Pack House of Beer 7-0. Buczynski had two strikeouts and Josh Fyffe went two for two keeping Jerre's Service in the running for the top four for the the season.

 

Thursday, July 24th

J Bruno Construction won the season series over Three Chances / Fulton Club with a 7-4 win in the first game at 12th & Hess. RIck Kraus hit his league leading fourth triple of the season while Bill Post doubled and Kyle Husted and Conrad Combs had multiple hits for J Bruno. Matt Lorman had two hits for Three Chances / Fulton Club and Rob Potts, Jake Lewis and Jeff DeVore each doubled in the loss.  J Bruno is 11-6 and Three Chances / Fulton Club dropped to third place at 12-5.

Hilltop Beer posted its second 1-0 win of the season helping them move into second place alone at 13-4.  Bob Osborn pitched seven strong with a strikeout for his league leading thirteenth win.  Jim "Doc" Gillespie had the game winning RBI and Hector Rodriguez had the only extra base hit of the game.  Dave Deck pitched a great game but took the hard loss pitching all seven innings for the Community Blood Bank allowing just the one run. The Blood Bank is 8-9 and hanging on to the final spot for the playoffs.

 
Tuesday, July 22nd

Six Pack House of Beer pulled off the 8-7 victory over Sherlocks / Park Place in the opening game at 12th & Hess. Ted "Bear" Lunger was the game MVP with two doubles, RBI and the winning pitcher with one strikeout.  Paul Ebert had the big moment with a triple for Sherlocks / Park Place. 

Jerre's Service played their first of two games at 11th & Hess against Scot Tees.  Jerre's Sevice won the game 9-4 with solid hitting from Josh Fyffe and Dave Konieczki.  Both players had an inside the park home run and multiple RBI's.  Kevin Buczynski pitched the opening game for Jerre's Service and captured his first win of the season.  Justin Osterkamp took the loss for Scot Tees.

Rick "Trixie" Majewski pitched game two for Jerre's Service and picked up the 11-4 win with the help of some more hot bats.   The Community Blood Bank couldn't slow down Josh Fyffe who had another inside the park home run.  Fyffe and Todd Sonntag had two RBI's while Zach Brandt, Jared Pearson and Andy Sonntag each had one.  Jim Waldo, Dan Orzechowski and Al Thigpen each had an RBI for the Blood Bank. Majewski posted one strikeout for Jerre's.

Three Chances / Fulton Club moved to 12-4 with a 9-1 victory over Scooters Lounge in the opening game at 13th & Wayne.  Dave Graham had two inside the park home runs to move his total to three in the last two games.  Graham tallied three RBI's in the game.  Chip Charlton earned another strikeout and win for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Mike Watkins took the loss for Scooters.

Odis 12 / Steel City beat Scooters Lounge 15-3 in game number two at 13th & Wayne.  Mark Kennelly went 4-4 scoring every time on the base path. Mike Chludzinski had three hits and Doug Robinson picked up his third win from the mound.  Chris Cook, Corey Folmar and Bill Nash scored the three runs for Scooters.

Hilltop Beer kept pace with Three Chances / Fulton Club with a 15-8 victory over Six Pack House of Beer.  Rookie Steve Pachatko was the big standout with four RBI's and an inside the park home run.  Mike Quinones continued his strong hitting with a triple and two RBI's.  Rick Moyer, Jim Babo and Hector Rodriguez also had two RBI's a piece for Hilltop. Ted "Bear" Lunger did post a strikeout but took the loss for Six Pack while Bob Osborn got win number twelve for Hilltop Beer.


Friday, July 18th

Dustin Przybylski pitched a four hit shutout for J Bruno Construction beating Community Blood Bank 2-0 at 11th & Hess. Tim Olson went 3-3 for J Bruno.  Dave Deck pitched a great game for the Blood Bank and Harold Klinzing had two of their four hits in the loss.  J Bruno moved to 10-6 while the Blood Bank fell to 8-7.
 

Three Chances / Fulton Club beat Jerre's Service 6-2 with multiple hits from Tom Lewis and Rob Potts at 18th & Downing.  Dave Graham had an inside the park home run for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Chip Charlton picked up win number ten for the season.  Three Chances / Fulton Club stands at 11-4 and Jerre's remains in the middle of the playoff pack at 9-6.

Scot Tees kept slim hopes for the playoffs alive with a 6-3 win over Six Pack House of Beer at 18th & Downing.  Justin Osterkamp got the win and a strikeout for Scot Tees.  Ed Young Jr. had two RBI's, a triple and an inside the park home run. Dave Torok also had a triple for Scot Tees and Chuck Dine and Jeff Golab each had a double.  Ted Lunger took the tough loss for Six Pack.

Odis 12 / Steel City held on for the 11-9 win in an up and down battle against Sherlocks / Park Place at 11th & Hess.  Matt Conner led the way with three hits and four RBI's for Odis 12 / Steel City.  Ricky Cruz and Brian Dewey each doubled and Doug Robinson picked up the win from the mound. Shondell Blue had three big hits and two RBI's for Sherlocks / Park Place.  

Hilltop Beer continued their undefeated record in the second round with a 15-3 win over Scooters Lounge.  Bob Osborn got his 11th win with the help of Johnny Mundy and Shannon Lofton's hitting.  Hilltop moved to 11-4.  Buddy Smith had a double for Scooters Lounge.


Thursday, July 17th


J Bruno Construction defeated Six Pack House of Beer 9-2.  Rick Kraus had a big game for J Bruno who moved to 9-5 before their second game of the night against Hilltop Beer.  Six Pack fell to 2-12.

Three Chances / Fulton Club remained in second place beating the Community Blood Bank 7-4. Chip Charlton had two strikeouts winning his ninth game of the season.  Jake Lewis had a double and triple for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Johnny Canavan and Rob Potts also doubled for Three Chances / Fulton Club while Nick Damon and Al Thigpen doubled for the Blood Bank.  Jim Waldo had a triple for the Blood Bank as well. 

Hilltop Beer won their second game of the week beating J Bruno Construction 9-4 int he final game of the night.  Mike Potter led the way with a triple while Bob Osborn continued his pitching ways holding down J Bruno.  Rick Kraus continued to erupt on the ball earning another double for his season stats.  Hilltop stands at 10-4 while Bruno dropped to 9-6.

 
Tuesday, July 15th


Hilltop Beer behind the solid pitching of Bob Osborn shutout Odis 12 / Steel City 1-0 in the opening game of the night. Osborn only allowed three hits in the game.  Hector Rodriguez had the solo RBI in the first inning for Hilltop.  Johnny Mundy had a double and Shannon Lofton went two for two.  Matt Konieczki had three strikeouts in the loss.  Roosevelt Benjamin, Fran Thomas and Chris Roach had the three singles for Odis 12 / Steel City.

Jerre's Service defeated Sherlocks / Park Place 20-7 behind Kevin Buczynski, Ryan Smith and Zach Brandt.  Buczynski went 3-4 with three RBI's and an inside the park home run.  Smith had three RBI's and three hits and Brandt added a double and two RBI's for Jerre's.  Rick Majewski pitched for the win.  Jack Canavan made his return to the hill for Sherlocks / Park Place and dropped his opening game.  Kevin Matthews and Clint Sokolowski each singled in the loss.

Scooters Lounge jumped out to an early 7-2 lead on Scot Tees and hung on to win the game 7-6. Mike Watkins captured his first win since moving over to Scooters Lounge.  Justin Osterkamp took the tough loss but earned another strikeout.

 
Friday, July 11th


Hilltop Beer struck back against Scot Tees in their second meeting of the season with a 9-6 win.  Luis Rodriguez had a triple, Mike Potter had two hits and Bob Osborn pitched seven innings with one strikeout for Hilltop Beer.  Justin Osterkamp took the loss for Scot Tees but had two hits along with Eddie Young Jr. Hilltop is 8-4 and a half a game behind Three Chances / Fulton Club for second place.  Scot Tees is 5-9.

Dave Konieczki blew up with a double, triple and inside the park home run helping Jerre's Service win 5-3 in eight innings over J Bruno Construction.  Rick Majewski got win number seven.  Andy Sontagg and Zach Brandt each doubled for Jerre's Service.  Bill Post, Kyle Husted and JT Thomas had the RBI's for J Bruno Construction.  Both teams are 8-5 on the season and Jerre's has the tiebreaker sweeping J Bruno.

The Community Blood Bank continued their hot streak beating Sherlocks 13-0 at 18th & Downing.  Nick Damon had two inside the park home runs while Nick Brewer had a double and triple for the Blood Bank.  Damon tallied six RBI's and a three for three night at the plate.  The Blood Bank is 8-5 and Sherlocks / Park Place is 4-10.

Six Pack House of Beer won the matchup of one win teams 10-1.  Bear Lunger got the win and Jeremy Thomas closed it out picking up his first strikeout of the year.  Ronnie Crosby had two RBI's for Six Pack.  Chad Sexton, Isaac Lunger, Andy Feliciano, Bear Lunger and DeJuan Woodard had one RBI each.  Six Pack is 2-11 and Scooters is 1-12.

Odis 12 / Steel City bounced back with a 4-0 win over their big rival Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Matt Konieczki pitched seven strong innings for win number twelve, Ryan Munson had a double and an RBI.  Bobby Burns and Roosevelt Benjamin each had an RBI for Odis 12 / Steel City.  Three Chances / Fulton Club is 9-4 and Odis 12 / Steel City is 13-1.


Thursday, July 10th


The opening game of the tripleheader watched Scot Tees explode on Sherlocks / Park Place 16-1 in four innings.  Justin Osterkamp continued his strong pitching with two strikeouts picking up his first win and led the charge with the bat posting an inside the park home run and four RBI's for Scot Tees. Sean Wildes had an inside the park home run and three hits for Scot Tees as well.  Scot Tees moved to 5-8 while Sherlocks / Park Place stand at 4-9.

J Bruno Construction became the first team to knock off Odis 12 / Steel City with a 3-2 victory.  Mike Voto scored two runs and got on base during every at bat helping J Bruno get the win.  Kyle Husted had two RBI's and Joe Cilladi added the other.  Dustin Przybylski earned another strikeout and the big win for J Bruno. Roosevelt Benjamin went three for three for Odis 12 / Steel City in the loss.

Jerre's Service beat Scooters Lounge 13-3.  Dave Konieczki picked up his first win from the mound for Jerre's Service.  Ryan Smith had a triple, Andy Sontagg had two hits and Josh Fyffe had two hits including an inside the park home run for Jerre's Service.



Tuesday, July 1st

Three Chances / Fulton Club got their revenge streak as they knocked off Sherlocks / Park Place 11-6 in the opening game on Tuesday night.  Chip Charlton picked up another win from the hill while Tommy Lewis, Dave Snippert and Butch Vaughn helped Three Chances / Fulton Club remain in second place alone at 9-3. Ben Okey took the loss on the mound for Sherlocks / Park Place but posted one strikeout in the game.  Kevin Matthews went three for three with one RBI for Sherlocks / Park Place who is now 4-8.

The Community Blood Bank won their third straight game with a 10-0 victory over Six Pack House of Beer rebounding from their earlier upset loss to Six Pack. Kevin Keiser, Eric Ballentine and Kevin Farr each tripled, Jim Waldo had a double and Dave Deck won his seventh game and added two more strikeouts.  Jorge Pazo, Ronnie Crosby and Andy Feliciano had the only hits for Six Pack.  The Blood Bank is 7-5 and Six Pack is 1-11.

Scot Tees put the biggest scare of the season to Odis 12 / Steel City taking a 2-0 lead into the bottom of the 6th before Mike Chludzinski and Ryan Munson each posted an RBI to tie the game at two.  John Joint roped a stand up triple in the bottom of the 7th before Ricky Cruz knocked in the winning run to give Odis 12 / Steel City a 3-2 win to remain undefeated.  Justin Osterkamp shutdown the Odis 12 / Steel City offense for the entire game with three strikeouts and solid defense.  Nick Anderson and Little Dirt tallied the two RBI’s for Scot Tees. Odis 12 / Steel City comeback win moves them to 12-0 while Scot Tees fell to 4-8 but look to find some wins after two big upset opportunities.



Friday, June 27th

Odis 12 / Steel City moved to 11-0 on the season with a 13-2 victory over Six Pack House of Beer.  Andy Tamilin had an inside the park home run and Chris Roach had a stand up triple for Odis 12 / Steel City. Matt Konieczki had another strikeout and continued to lead the charge for Odis 12 / Steel City. Wes Hutchins had a double and an RBI for Six Pack.

The Community Blood Bank won for the second straight Friday with a 6-1 win against Scooters lounge.  Brett Erven went 3 for 3 with a double and two singles. Danny Orzechowski contributed a triple, double and two RBI’s also for the Blood Bank.  Corey Folmar had a double and scored the only run for Scooters in the loss.

Hilltop Beer won the spotlight game of the night with a 8-2 triumph over Jerre’s Service.  Hector Rodriguez had a triple and Joey Delgado had a double in the win.  Delgado along with Mike Quinones and Shannon Lofton each contributed two RBI’s. Dave Konieczki pitched for Jerre’s and posted one strikeout in the loss.  Jason Bartlett had two RBI’s for Jerre’s. Bob Osborn won the game for Hilltop who stand at 7-4 for the season.

The most exciting game of the night watched Three Chances / Fulton Club battle Scot Tees.  The game went eight innings before Three Chances / Fulton Club won the game on a game winning hit by Dave Snippert.  Johnny Canavan had a triple and scored the winning run for
Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Justin Osterkamp pitched one strikeout for Scot Tees and Joe Skopow had two hits in the loss for Scot Tees.  Three Chances / Fulton Club stands in second alone at 8-3.

The nightcap between J Bruno Construction and Sherlocks / Park Place had nonstop excitement from the start to the end when Sherlocks / Park Place cut a 9-4 lead to one before Dustin Fohner gunned the tying run out at home when Rick Kraus tagged the runner out. Kraus also hit the deepest ball of the regular season to the fence for a stand up triple.  Fohner had multiple hits for J Bruno and put them at 7-4 for the year.  Sherlocks / Park Place fell to 4-7.


Tuesday, June 24th


J Bruno Construction got back on the winning track in a big way with an 8-0 win over Scot Tees in the opening game.  J Bruno moved to 6-4 to finish the second round one game behind Three Chances / Fulton Club for second place.  Scot Tees continued their downward spiral falling to 4-6 with a three game losing streak heading into the opening game of the second round on Friday night.  Scot Tees faces Three Chances / Fulton Club while J Bruno tangles with Sherlocks / Park Place.

Odis 12 / Steel City finished the opening round with a 10-0 record after hanging on against the Community Blood Bank with a 4-3 win.  Matt Konieczki picked up win number nine for Odis 12 / Steel City.  The Blood Bank put a scare into Odis 12 scoring three runs in the top of the 7th put came up one run short with a pop out to Dustin Beraducci with runners on second and third.  The Blood Bank looks to bounce back against Scooters on Friday while Odis 12 / Steel City face Six Pack House of Beer.

The final game of the night between Three Chances / Fulton Club and Hilltop Beer secured the number two spot in the standings at the end of round one. JD DeVore broke the game open with a double and a run scored.  Tommy Lewis scored two runs in the 6-3 win for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Hilltop Beer made a late run in the 6th but couldn’t pull off the comeback.  Mike Quinones and Doc Gillespie each had a hit and Bob Osborn had a strikeout in the loss.  Three Chances / Fulton Club stands at 7-3 and Hilltop is 6-4.



Friday, June 20th

Matt Konieczki continued to add to his strikeout count as he added three more against Scooters on Friday night in the opening game at 11th & Hess.  Konieczki threw a one hitter over four innings before stepping off of the mound.  Ryan Munson pitched two innings posting one strikeout and two hits and two RBI’s from the plate.  Chris Roach also added three RBI’s on a double with the bases loaded.  Anthony Gore had the lone RBI for Scooters Lounge in the 7th inning.  Odis 12 / Steel City won the game 8-1 and moved to 9-0 with one game left in the first round while Scooters Lounge closed out the first round at 1-9.

The Community Blood Bank bounced back in big time fashion with a 4-0 win over Hilltop Beer at 18th & Downing.  The Blood Bank looked to rebound after a huge upset loss to previously winless Six Pack on Tuesday night. They did with the help of Dave Deck fifth win of the season pitching, Nick Brewer’s triple and Eric Ballentine two RBI’s.  Mike Quiones went 3-3 and Joey Delgado had two hits for Hilltop.  The Blood Bank stands at 5-4 facing Odis 12 / Steel City on Tuesday and Hilltop plays Three Chances / Fulton Club for second place at the end of round one.

Sherlocks / Park Place won their third in a row beating Six Pack House of Beer 5-4 in a tight game at 18th & Downing.  Mike Watkins picked up the win and one strikeout for Sherlocks.  Shondell Blue had two hits and two RBI’s for Sherlocks while Travis Markle went 2-3 with three RBI’s for Six Pack in the loss.  Ted “Bear” Lunger got his first strikeout for Six Pack in the loss.  Sherlocks finished out round one at 4-6 and Six Pack went 1-9.

An opening day rematch between Three Chances / Fulton Club and J Bruno Construction brought had big time implications in the overall standings coming into Friday night.  Three Chances / Fulton Club looked to rebound and did with a 6-4 win.  Jeff DeVore won his first game of the year from the mound and Robby Potts, Dan Vaughn and Tom Lewis lead the charge swinging the bats.  Rick Kraus made the most noise for J Bruno with a triple and two hits in the game.  Three Chances / Fulton Club is 6-3 with the big showdown against Hilltop beer finally upon us this Tuesday for second place at the end of the first round.  J Bruno has lost three out of four and fell to 5-4 for the season.

Jerre’s Service continued their hot streak with ten runs in the first inning helping them defeat Scot Tees 15-4 for their second win over them this season.  Josh Fyffe scored three times in the game for Jerre’s and Dave Konieczki went 3-3 with a triple and four RBI’s. Shawn “Boomer” Potts had a pair of hits for Scot Tees in the loss.  Jerre’s Service finished the opening round at 6-4 and Scot Tees closes out their first round on Tuesday against J Bruno.  Scot Tees is now 4-5.


Thursday, June 19th

Matt Konieczki's three hitter from the mound and Frankie Thomas's three hits helped Odis 12 / Steel City stay undefeated with a 9-0 win over Scot Tees.  Konieczki picked up his league leading 18th strikeout and Ricky Cruz triple and three RBI's helped put the game out of reach.  Odis 12 / Steel City opened the game up in the fifth scoring three runs on Cruz's triple and solid pitching and defense shut down Scot Tees hot bats.  Kenny Miller had two of the three hits for Scot Tees. Scot Tees fell to 4-4 and look to rebound against Jerre's Service tomorrow night.

The second and final game of the night started with a bang for Sherlocks / Park Place scoring nine runs in the first inning against Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Sherlocks added one more run and hung on for a huge 10-7 upset win. Clint Sokolowski and Nick Gorton provided two RBI's while Mark Milburn added two hits and Mike Watkins picked up win number three from the hill in the huge upset victory.  Jake Lewis scored twice and Johnny Canavan had two hits in the loss.  Sherlocks moved to 3-6 while Three Chances / Fulton Club fell to 5-3 before tomorrow night’s huge rematch against J Bruno Construction.


Tuesday, June 17th


Jerre's Service's continued their winning ways with a 12-2 win in six innings over Scooters Lounge putting them at 5-4 in the standings with one game remaining for them in round one. Dave Konieczki continued his hot bat with a double and three RBI's.  Andy Cameron added a triple and an RBI while Zach Brandt contributed two RBI's and a double. Rick Majewski picked up win number five for the year. 

Hilltop Beer won the big showdown over J Bruno Construction on Tuesday night 11-7 to move into second place all alone.  Eddie "Little Dirt" went 2-4 with an inside the park home run and four RBI's for Hilltop.  RIck Moyer, Ryan Mazzocco and Shannon Lofton each had two hits while Hector Rodriguez had three hits with one RBI in the win as well.  Rick Kraus tied the game up at two with an inside the park home run for J Bruno and Dustin Przybylski posted a strikeout.  But it wasn't enough as the hot bats of Hilltop moved them to 7-2 and dropped J Bruno to 5-3.

Six Pack House of Beer finally hit the win column with a huge victory over the Community Blood Bank 8-7 in the final game of the night.  The game was played in a steady drizzle and a few key mistakes by the Blood Bank and a triple from Ricky Rich from Six Pack helped secure their first win of the season.  Ted Bear Lunger pitched the winning game for Six Pack who stand at 1-8.  Dave Deck earned two strikeouts for the Blood Bank who stand at 4-4 after the upset.



Thursday, June 12th

Jerre's Service beat Six Pack House of Beer 10-5 to move to 4-4 for the season while Six Pack remained the only winless team in the league at 0-8. Dave Gahan continued with the hot bat earning a triple while Dave Konieczki had a solid game with three RBI's, two singles and posted two strikeouts pitching in the final inning.  Rick Majewski won the game and struck out one batter in the win.  Andy Feliciano went two for three with an RBI and Dusty Pattison had one strikeout in the loss. 

Sherlock's / Park Place finally ended their six game losing streak with an 11-5 win over Scooters Lounge in the second game of the night.  Ben Okey led the way for Sherlocks with a triple, two hits and four RBI's.  Mike Watkins had two strikeouts in the win.  Will Smith had a strikeout for Scooters in the loss.  Corey Folmar, Derrick McCall, Derrick Mook and Anthony Gore each scored for Scooters Lounge who fell to 1-7.  Sherlocks / Park Place are 2-6. 


Friday, June 6th

Jerre’s Service and J Bruno opened the night at 11th & Hess.  J Bruno Construction looked to put an early scare to Jerre’s with four runs in the top of the 1st.  But Jerre’s fired back with five runs in the bottom half of the inning.  Jerre’s opened the lead up even more with two more in the third and eventually won the games 8-6.  Rick Majewski captured the win while Andy Cameron, Brian Hersch, Andy Sonntag, Dave Konieczki and Kevin Buchzynski lead the way with their bats.  Rick Kraus had an inside the park home run for J Bruno in the loss.  J Bruno fell to 5-2 and Jerre’s moved to 3-4.

At 18th & Downing the Community Blood Bank beat Sherlocks / Park Place scoring six runs in the top half of extra innings to win and stand at 4-3 while Sherlocks lost their sixth game in a row.  The final score was 11-5.  Paul Ebert had an inside the park home run and Ben Ebert had a triple for Sherlocks.  No stats are available for Blood Bank.

The other game at 18th & Downing matched up the two winless teams in the league.  But Scooters prevailed with a 17-13 win to leave Six Pack the only winless team reaming in the league.  Fred Whistler got the win for Scooters.  Travis Markle had three hits and four RBI’s in the loss for Six Pack. 

Scot Tees came back from a 4-0 deficit to beat Hilltop Beer 8-4.  Matt Rhoads won his fourth game from the mound while Matt Grow and Kenny Miller lead the team from the plate with two RBI’s a piece.  Mike Quiones, Nick Damon and Steve Pachatko had multiple hits for Hilltop in the loss.  Hilltop is 5-2 and Scot Tees is 4-3 in the standings.

The game of the night was between rivals Odis 12 / Steel City and Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Odis 12 was the first to score when Mike Miodus and Jeremy Cook knocked in the first two runs for Odis 12.  Odis scored one more in the third to take a 3-0 lead.  Three Chances fought back with two runs in the fourth on throwing errors.  But Odis 12 added five more runs and closed the game out with an 8-3 victory.  Matt Konieczki claimed win number six.  Danny Vaughn, Tony Culver and Tommy Lewis scored for Three Chances / Fulton Club.  Odis 12 / Steel City remains the only undefeated team at 7-0 while Three Chances / Fulton Club stands in a three way tie for second at 5-2. 


Thursday, June 5th

Odis 12 / Steel City continued their undefeated season for another night beating Jerre’s Service 12-3.  Jerre’s Service came out on fire in the top of the first scoring three runs when Andy Sonntag, Josh Fyffe and David Gahan crossed the plate.  Odis 12 struck back with six runs in the bottom of the first and added three more in the second inning.  Mike Miodus had a triple, Jeremy Cook had his league leading third inside the park home run, Matt” Fatty” Conner had three RBI’s and Dustin Beraducci contributed two also.  Matt Konieczki posted another strikeout and won his fifth game.  Zach Brandt had three hits for Jerre’s now standing at 2-4.

The Community Blood Bank wasted no time scoring with nine runs in the first inning against Scot Tees in game two of the night.  Mike Potter had an inside the park home run, Jason Erven had a triple and three RBI’s and Dave Deck picked up win number three from the mound.  Matt Rhoads took the loss for Scot Tees but earned a strikeout and had two RBI’s at the plate. Jeff Golab and Chuck Dine also had two RBI’s and Nick Anderson had a triple for Scot Tees.  Scot Tees and the Blood Bank both stand at 3-3 for the season.

The last game was the rain makeup from two days ago between Three Chances / Fulton Club and Six Pack House of Beer.  This game had some excitement early but eventually got out of hand as Three Chances won the game 10-0.  A 1-0 lead turned into 3-0 and never looked back with the help of a triple from Johnny Canavan, three RBI’s from Jake Lewis and another solid performance on the mound from Chip Charlton.  Six Pack will face Scooters Lounge tomorrow as both teams look for win number one on the season while Three Chances / Fulton Club renews their exciting rivalry against undefeated Odis 12 / Steel City tomorrow night at 8:30pm at 11th & Hess.



Tuesday, June 3rd

Before the rain hit and cancelled the third game of the night two games had been played.  The first watched J Bruno Construction get back on the winning track in a big way with a 15-3 win over winless Scooters Lounge.  Dustin Przyblyski won his fifth game of the season for J Bruno.  Rick Kraus had a triple, Joe Cilladi had three hits and three RBI's while Mike Voto contributed three hits and two RBI's.  Derrick Mook had a hit while Jim Fewell, Randy Mazzocco and Derrick McCall each scored for Scooters. 

Hilltop Beer looked to continue their winning ways in the second game of the night against Sherlocks / Park Place.  Mike Quiones, Hector Rodriguez and Tony Heise of Hilltop did everything they could to assure it.  Quiones had three hits, two RBI's and an inside the park home run, Rodriguez added two hits, two RBI's and a double while Heise contributed two hits in the 7-5 win for Hilltop.  Bob Osborn won his fifth game and earned a strikeout.  Mike Watkins collected two strikeouts on the mound for Sherlocks and Ben Okey kept his bat hot with two more hits and RBI's for Sherlocks.  Hilltop is 5-1 and Sherlocks is 1-5 in the standings.

The final game of the night between Three Chances / Fulton Club and Six Pack House of Beer was cancelled in the 2nd inning when the rain came down.  The game will start from the beginning and be the third game of the night this Thursday at 12th & Hess.



Friday, May 30th

The opening game at 11th & Hess matched up Jerre’s Service and the Community Blood Bank. Jerre’s Service scored early taking a 3-0 lead in the first inning. But a game changing triple by Brett Erven helped the Blood Bank run away with the game 13-7.  Dave Deck picked up the win and one strikeout.  Jared Pearson had a triple while David Gahan had three hits and two RBI’s for Jerre’s. Both teams now stand at 2-3 on the season.

At 18th & Downing Three Chances / Fulton Club destroyed Scooters Lounge 15-0.  Last week “Player of the Week” Jake Lewis had an inside the park home run and Robby Potts had a triple.  Chip Charlton earned win number four on the season.  Three Chances moved to 4-1 while Scooters remains winless at 0-5.

Ed Young Jr. of Hilltop Beer had a career day at the other game at 18th & Downing in Hilltop’s 17-7 win over Six Pack House of Beer.  Eddie had a double, triple, inside the park homerun and one RBI.  Manuel “Salt” Lofton also had an inside the park home run for Hilltop.  Bob Osborn won the game with two strikeouts.  Jorge Pazo had a triple and Isaac Lunger had two hits for Six Pack.  Hilltop is 4-1 while SIx Pack is 0-5.

The game of the night matched up the final two unbeaten teams in the league.  Odis 12 / Steel City versus J Bruno Construction.  Odis 12 tallied five runs in the bottom of the first inning with two RBI's from Roosevelt Benjamin and one a piece from Ricky Cruz, Ryan Munson and Mike Chludzinski.  JT Thomas had a triple and RBI for J Bruno in the loss.  Dustin Beraducci made a game huge catch with the bases loaded in the 4th inning on a deep ball from Rick Kraus. The catch and pitching from Matt Konieczki moved Odis 12 to 5-0 and J Bruno to 4-1.

The final game of the night saw Scot Tees move above .500 with a 11-3 win over Sherlocks / Park Place.  Justin Osterkamp had a triple and Matt Rhoads had two strikeouts and earned win number three.  Jeff Golab and Chuck Dine each added two RBI’s in the win.  Sherlocks / Park Place record is 1-4.


Thursday, May 29th

In the first of two games on Thursday winless Scooters Lounge looked to upset Hilltop Beer at 18th & Downing.  Hilltop jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first before adding two more in the 3rd to look like they had the game in hand.  But a key hit by Derrick Mook who went three for three from the plate cut the lead to 4-2.  In the bottom of the 6th Hilltop ended the threat with five more runs to put the game out of reach.  Hilltop won the game 9-2 to move to 3-1 on the season.  Mike Quiones was the star for Hilltop with a double, inside the park home run and two RBI's.  Steve Pachatko and WIchi Degaldo also contributed two RBI's for Hilltop. Bob Osborn won his third game of the season from the mound.

Game two hooked up Scot Tees and Six Pack House of Beer.  The game was out of reach by the bottom of the first inning after Scot Tees racked up eight runs in the top of the first.  Joe Skopow's triple and three RBI's plus Jeff Golab's four RBI's where too much for Six Pack to come back from.  Six Pack did manage two runs from Ted "Bear" Lunger's stand up triple.  But Matt Rhoads pitching and the hitting of Scot Tees ended the game in five innings as Scot Tees won 13-2.


Tuesday, May 27th

J Bruno Construction looked to stay unbeaten heading into Friday night’s showdown against Odis 12 / Steel City and they did with a 6-0 shutout victory over the Community Blood Bank.  JT Thomas of J Bruno had a triple, three RBI's and two runs scored while Kyle Husted contributed two RBI's and Mike Voto had two hits. Dustin Przyblyski posted a shutout and earned his fourth win of the season. The Blood Bank fell to 1-3 and plays against Jerre's Service on Friday night. 

Jerre's Service came out fast in game two with a 4-2 lead heading into the bottom of the 6th.  But a two out rally from Three Chances / Fulton Club plus key hits and RBI's from Robby Potts, Tom Lewis and Jake Lewis helped Three Chances / Fulton Club take a 7-4 advantage into the bottom of the 7th.  Jerre's wasn't done yet cutting the lead to 7-6 before a groundout ended the drama and gave Three Chances / Fulton Club the 7-6 win.  Tom Lewis had three RBI's and Chip Charlton picked up his third win from the mound.

Odis 12 / Steel City and Sherlocks / Park Place faced off in the nightcap. Matt Konieczki posted five strikeouts on the night for Odis 12 while Jeremy Cook lit it up at the plate with two inside the park home runs, a triple and three RBI's.  Dustin Beraducci also had an inside the park home run for Odis 12.  Nick Gorton added some excitement for Sherlocks with a inside the parker as well but it wasn't enough as Odis 12 won the game 12-2 setting up the spotlight game of the night on Friday with the final two unbeatens squaring off at 7:30pm at 11th & Hess.  Odis 12 / Steel City vs. J Bruno Construction.


Friday, May 23rd

The opening game at 11th & Hess had two unbeatens squaring off as Odis 12 / Steel City battled Hilltop Beer.  Odis 12 jumped out of the gates with two runs in the top of the first with RBI's from Ryan Munson and Mike Chludzinski.  Hilltop Beer cut the lead in half when Little Dirt crossed the plate on a Rick Moyer hit. Odis 12 struck back with three more runs in the top of the second and hung on to win the game 7-4. Johnny Mundy had a triple and Bob Osborn had one strikeout for Hilltop Beer. Ricky Cruz went 4-4 with 2 RBI's and Doug Robinson picked up the win for Odis 12 / Steel City now 3-0.

At 18th & Downing Sherlocks / Park Place and Jerre's Service had the most exciting game of the day as Sherlocks took a 5-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning before Jerre's collected five runs to take a one run lead into the 7th.  Sherlocks tied the game in the top half of the inning but Jerre's had one too many for Sherlocks as Dave Konieczki knocked in the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 7th to help Jerre's move to 2-1 while Sherlocks dropped to 1-2.  Kevin Buchzynski, Ricky Moore and Ryan Morris each doubled for Jerre's Service in the win.

The other game at 18th & Downing matched up two teams looking for their first win of the season. Scooters and Scot Tees came into the game at 0-2.  But Chuck Dine's three RBI's and two RBI's each from Justin Osterkamp, AJ Osterkamp, Matt Rhoads and Sean Wildes were too much for Scooters Lounge. Scot Tees won the game 13-6 to move to 1-2 while Scooters remains winless.  Derrick McCall continued to shine for Scooters with a double and two RBI's. 

Three Chances / Fulton Club came focused for the second game of the night at 11th & Hess as they took on the Community Blood Bank.  Jake Lewis continued his hot streak with three hits while Chip Charlton shutdown the bats of the Blood Bank.  Jeff DeVore had a triple for Three Chances / Fulton Club and Chris Lewis reached base all three at bats.  Eric Ballentine knocked in the only run for the Blood Bank who lost the game 9-1. 

The final game of the evening sent a scare into undefeated J Bruno Construction when Six Pack House of Beer only trailed 4-3 into the bottom of the 6th.  But the bats of J Bruno and the pitching of Dustin Przybylski was too much for Six Pack on the night as J Bruno went on to a 7-3 win.  Mike Voto had an inside the park home run for undefeated J Bruno while Travis Markle and Wes Hutchins each had a triple for Six Pack House of Beer who remain winless.


Thursday, May 22nd

The first of two games on Thursday night had Community Blood Bank taking on Scooters Lounge. Brett Erven and Dave Deck led the Blood Bank with two hits and two RBI's a piece.  LJ Himes added an inside the park home run and Dave Deck pitched for the win giving the Blood Bank their first win of the season 12-2.  Anthony Gore had a triple and one RBI for Scooters.

Hilltop Beer moved to 2-0 on the season while giving Jerre's Service their first loss of the season with a 9-5 victory in the second game of the night.  Bob Osborn won his second game of the season and Rick Moyer had a triple for Hilltop Beer.  Undefeated Hilltop Beer will square off against undefeated Odis 12 / Steel City at 6:30pm at 11th & Hess while Jerre's will look to bounce back against Sherlocks / Park Place at 18th & Downing at 6:30 tomorrow night. 


Tuesday, May 20th

The opening game of three placed Odis 12 / Steel City vs. Six Pack House of Beer.  Six Pack House of Beer trailed 3-1 heading into the 5th inning before Odis 12 / Steel City opened the game up with Ryan Munson knocking in Mike Miodus and Ricky Cruz with a stand up triple.  Munson had two triples on the night and Odis 12 cruised to a 11-1 victory to move to 2-0.  Six Pack House of Beer fell to 0-2.  Dusty Pattison had a strikeout for Six Pack.

Three Chances / Fulton Club looked to rebound from their opening night loss in the second game of the night against Scot Tees.  Three Chances / Fulton Club wasted no time making a statement when Jake Lewis had a three run inside the park home run in the 1st inning.  Tom Lewis contributed two hits and Chip Charlton picked up his first win of the season.  Matt Rhoads took the loss for Scot Tees but had three hits at the plate.  Three Chances / Fulton Club won the game 10-4 and stands at 1-1 while Scot Tees dropped to 0-2.

The nightcap had two unbeaten teams squaring off.  Sherlocks / Park Place vs. J Bruno Construction.  Sherlocks / Park Place scored three runs and led into the 3rd inning before J Bruno's bats woke up with four inside the park home runs and thirteen runs in the game to win 13-4.  Mike Voto, Rick Kraus, JT Thomas and Jeremy Thomas each had an inside the park home run.  Dustin Przybylski moved to 2-0 on the mound and collected three strikeouts for J Bruno while Mike Watkins had one strikeout for Sherlocks / Park Place.

   
Opening Night - Friday, May 16th
 

The game of the night was the opener at 11th & Hess between J Bruno Construction and Three Chances / Fulton Club.  J Bruno scored two runs in the top of the first inning when Dustin Fohner and Tim Olson crossed the plate on fielding errors.  Three Chances / Fulton Club struck back in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead to one when Tony Culver knocked in Robbie Potts.  J Bruno added another run in the third when Bobby Gates hit in Stevie "Moose" Osterkamp.  Three Chances / Fulton Club knocked in one more run in the 6th but fell one short as J Bruno Construction won the opening game of the night 3-2. 

At 2nd & PA Dave Konieczki hit an inside the park home run and Zach Brandt added two RBI's to help Jerre's Service capture the opening night victory over Scot Tees 8-7.  Jerre's Service held off a five run rally from Scot Tees in the bottom of the 7th getting the third out with the bases loaded.  Rick Majewski of Jerre's Service picked up his first win of the season on the hill.  Jason Vargo, Sean Wilder and Joe Dan Wienczkowski each knocked in two RBI's for Scot Tees.

Sherlocks / Park Place beat Six Pack House of Beer 19-9 at 18th & Downing.  Nick Gorton had an inside the park home run and a triple while Kevin Matthews had two triples himself for Sherlocks.  Mike Watkins posted one strikeout and claimed the victory for Sherlocks.  Travis Markle went two for three with a double and four RBI's for Six Pack House of Beer.

Odis 12 / Steel City opened their quest for a third straight title with a 15-0 victory over Scooters Lounge.  Mike Miodus led the game off with an inside the park home run for Odis 12 / Steel City.  Ryan Munson had three hits and Matt Konieczki struck out eight batters picking up his first victory of the season for Odis 12 / Steel City.  Derrick McCall had two hits for Scooters Lounge who played shorthanded with just nine players. 

Hilltop Beer and Community Blood Bank closed out the festivities for opening night.  Ryan Mazzoco had three RBI's and Little Dirt had a triple helping Hilltop score three runs in the second, five in the third and four more in the sixth to defeat the Blood Bank 13-3.  Bob Osborn won his first game of the year on the mound.  Dan Orzechowski had a double and RBI for Community Blood Bank.
